In the energy industry for over 25 years, Stefano Mantellassi has a wealth of experience in emerging markets, having spent most of his career abroad.

As of November 2017 he has taken on the role of Head of Initiatives for Africa in Eni’s renewable energy division, called Eni Energy Solutions. As such, he identifies and drives renewable energy initiatives in Africa. He is also responsible for portfolio optimization, monitoring and analysis of ongoing projects in the region.

With Eni since 1991, he has held a number of senior management positions across the business value chain (from upstream, to midstream and downstream), in Nigeria, Congo, Kazakhstan, France, the Netherlands and UK.

Stefano holds a degree in Industrial Technologies and a specialization in Management from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
