Arslan Akhmetov holds a B.Sc. in Geophysics from Bashkir State University in Russia and an M.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. He has spent the last 16 years working for ExxonMobil.
Arslan began his career in Calgary, Canada, progressing through various positions from technical roles to leadership. He has supported numerous assets across Canada and globally, building his expertise in the energy sector, encompassing exploration, development, production, and research. During this time, Arslan has also contributed to two patents in the field of microseismic monitoring, showcasing innovative approach and commitment to advancing technology.
In 2020, Arslan relocated to Houston, where he led the Geoscience section within the ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering company. In this role, he supported Geoscience technology and capability development and management, as well as curriculum and training programs within ExxonMobil. Currently, Arslan serves as the Subsurface Manager for the Mozambique team, leveraging his extensive industry experience to support the development of the world-class resources in Mozambique.
